RYA Coastal Skipper
A course for those wanting to undertake coastal passages by day and night

The RYA Coastal Skipper practical is a course for more advanced skippers who have the practical ability at RYA Day Skipper level, a knowledge of navigation, meteorology, collision regulations, safety and passage planning up to RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster shorebased courses.
Required experience: 15 days, 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 night hours.
Assumed theoretical knowledge: Material of the RYA Yachtmaster Shorebased course.
Duration: 5 days.
Minimum age: 17.
Certificate issuing criteria: Able to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day and night.
Format: This course takes place on the water.
Ratio: Maximum (4:1) students to instructor, (5:1) in exceptional circumstances.
Place: Procida Island.
Included in the fee: Accommodation onboard, fuel, insurance while aboard.
Not included in the fee: Mooring fees outside of our base in Procida, food, RYA logbook G-158 (if you do not have it already). -
