For challenging passages

The course takes place on board and will be preparatory to the boating licence examination.
Technical terminology and hints on estimated navigation (latitude-longitude, routes, use of compasses, ratio, etc.)
Hints of meteorology.
Knowledge of the engine, including the propeller. Techniques for routine maintenance.
Sail trim, reefing, tacking, downhaul.
Correct use of the anchor, although not practically required in the examination.
Hints of night sailing.
Unmooring and mooring in swaths.
In-depth study of Colregs.
Minimum age: 18 years
Minimum experience required: introductory course and/or 10 hours at sea - 30 miles of navigation,
including below the coastline
Course duration: 2 weekendsAt the end of the course you will be able to take command, where not licensed, competently and safely.
Also for long daytime coastal navigation. -
